Subodh Maheshwari was born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, North India, where she was introduced to folk art and classical music. Her philosophy is captured in her belief: “In the threshold of my life, my present is the window to the past and a key to the future."

Subodh’s academic journey led her to Agra University, California State University, and the University of California Irvine. Her career has been marked by significant recognition, including the regional Fellowship Award at UCI (1986), the Bharat Gaurav Award in 2015, and the 60 Masters Award for several years. Subodh is also included in Marquis "Who's Who in America."
